Indoor is a tag within the Site Attributes category indicating that a training location, or a section of it, is situated inside an enclosed building rather than in the open air. It applies to spots such as calisthenics gyms, fitness studios, or dedicated training rooms that offer bar and ring setups, weighted equipment, or other workout structures under a roof. This attribute can be combined with the Outdoor tag when a single location includes both an enclosed area and a separate open-air section, for example a gym with an attached courtyard. Indoor spaces are particularly relevant for training independent of weather conditions, since temperature, precipitation, wind, and daylight hours do not affect what happens inside a building. This makes indoor locations especially suited for people training during winter months, in regions with heavy rainfall, or in climates with extreme heat, as well as for anyone who prefers a controlled environment with consistent lighting and flooring. Indoor training facilities exist worldwide, with particularly high concentrations in urban centers and in regions with pronounced seasonal weather, where commercial gyms and studios have added calisthenics-style equipment to complement traditional machines.
