Montréal - Calisthenics Equipment - Parc Jean Drapeau - Trekfit
Upcoming events
Summary of editorial
Parc Jean-Drapeau is open daily from 6 AM to midnight. The workout spot has Pull-up bars, Parallel Bars, Monkey Bars, Push-up bars, Dip station, Balance beam, Long bench, Rope station (no rope on location), Step benches.
This is the largest calisthenics park in Montreal and it has more equipment (9) than any other in the city. It's actually not on the Montreal island but rather at Parc Jean-Drapeau, a large nature park on Saint Helen's Island (Île Sainte-Hélène), between Montreal and its south shore. Just a few minutes away from downtown Montreal, it is best accessed via the Jean-Drapeau subway station and is located within a 3-minute walk from that station.
While a tiny bit outcentered, it is arguably more easily accessible via public transportation (Métro) than some calisthenics parks on the Montreal island, and the number of working stations and beautiful setting surrounded by nature makes the trip worthwhile. It is often less crowded than some other Montreal parks, and you will surely see the groundhogs that famously populate the island.
